Middle school choir teacher causes controversy for choosing song called ‘Trump It!’ after election

The choir teacher at Northern Middle School in the Pulaski County School District is taking heat for choosing a song called “Trump It!” for students to perform.
Superintendent Patrick Richardson said the teacher was trying to get President-elect Donald Trump’s attention with the song.
In a statement, Richardson called the teacher’s action “overzealous” but described it as an attempt to “get invited back to the upcoming presidential inauguration.”
Richardson said the choir teacher has been spoken to about the inappropriateness of the situation.
