Kansas Department of Revenue announces winning personalized license plate design
TOPEKA, Kan. (KCTV) - The winning personalized license plate was announced on August 12 by the Kansas Department of Revenue (KDOR).
Earlier in August, five options were available for the public to vote on.
Over 30,000 votes were cast, and Kansans were able to prove which design they liked best. The winning design showcases the Flint Hills as a personalized license plate design. This design was the most popular with more than 56% of the votes.

“We are excited to reveal the next Kansas personalized plate design and will now work to get the design ready for production and for Kansans to purchase in 2025,” KDOR Division of Vehicles Director David Harper said.
To get this new personalized license plate, Kansans can visit their local county treasurer’s office to buy the new plate for $45.50 when it becomes available.
The current personalized license plate design, “Powering the Future,” will not be available at the start of 2025. Anyone with the current personalized license plate design must replace it during the next renewal period if they want to keep their personalized plate text.
The availability of personalized plate text can be found here.
