FORECAST: Scattered showers and temps in the low 80s Wednesday

It's looking like it's going to be rather hot and humid this weekend.

Another round of pop-up showers and storms returns during the afternoon, bringing some parts of our viewing area heavy rain, lightning and gusty wind.

Sunshine and some clouds with a stray shower or thunderstorm possible - highs in the 80s with low winds.

By the afternoon, under a mix of sun and clouds, look for widely scattered showers and thunderstorms to form. Once again, severe weather is not expected.

Heavy downpours are creating road hazards this morning such as ponding and minor flooding within low-lying areas.
