Martha Stewart and Anthony Hopkins were once a power couple, but she called it off, and it had everything to do with his role in The Silence of the Lambs!

The 80-year-old lifestyle guru appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday and took part in a segment dubbed "Where's the Lie," in which the guest rattles off three noteworthy items about themselves and host Ellen DeGeneres has to guess which of the three nuggets is a lie. The first clue in the second round of the game read on the screen, "I dated Sir Anthony Hopkins but broke up with him because I couldn't stop thinking of him as Hannibal Lecter."

DeGeneres practically blew off that clue, because she couldn't fathom the reason why Stewart would break up with the legendary actor. Much to everyone's surprise, Stewart revealed it was, in fact, true.

"I have a big scary house in Maine that's way by itself on 100 acres in the forest," Stewart explained, "and I couldn't even imagine taking Anthony Hopkins there. I couldn't. All I could think of was him eating, you know ..."

DeGeneres then chimed in, "Wait, did you date him?" Stewart nonchalantly responded, "Yeah." DeGeneres then wanted confirmation, "And you stopped because of that?" Stewart confirmed, "Yeah," prompting the audience to erupt in laughter and applause. It's unclear when Stewart and Hopkins dated.

Hopkins famously played the serial killer who ate his victims in the 1991 horror film, which earned him an Academy Award for Best Actor the following year.

It's also unclear who Stewart's currently dating. While appearing on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen back in December, Stewart revealed she's dating someone but wouldn't divulge a name. She certainly had her pick of the litter, after revealing last April she "got so many proposals and so many propositions" after she posted her pool-side thirst trap.

After ET's Nischelle Turner explained the meaning of "thirst trap" to Stewart, the HGTV star agreed that her pool shot was "definitely a thirst trap."

"I just thought I looked great coming out of the pool," Stewart said of the pic. "My camera came on backwards, you know, selfie mode, and I looked so nice. The sun was on my face. I thought, 'Oh, that looks pretty,' so I took the picture. It looked good."

Alec Baldwin is facing a defamation lawsuit from a family member of a Marine killed in Afghanistan.

In legal documents obtained by ET, Baldwin is being sued by the family of Rylee McCollum who was one of 13 marines killed outside of Afghanistan's international airport during a bombing on Aug. 26, 2021, amidst the United States military's efforts to help evacuate military, civilian and Afghan nationals out of the country during the Taliban takeover. He was 20.

According to court docs, Baldwin found the Marine’s sister, Roice McCollum, on Instagram and sent her a check for $5,000 to be given to her brother's widow, Jiennah Crayton, and their baby.

Earlier this month, however, Baldwin allegedly accused Roice of participating in the riots at the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 6, 2021.

In the complaint, the 63-year-old actor allegedly called her an "insurrectionist" and a "Jan. 6 rioter" in a private Instagram direct message. His alleged DM to her came after Roice posted a photo she took on Jan. 6, 2021 at the Washington Monument, writing, "Throwback 😝🤘🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲."

"Are you the same woman I sent the $ for your sister’s husband who was killed during the Afghanistan exit?" Baldwin allegedly commented under Roice’s photo. "When I sent the $ for your late brother, out of real respect for his service to this country, I didn’t know you were a January 6th rioter."

Baldwin allegedly went on to repost her photos from the demonstration to his Instagram account, telling Roice, "I reposted your photo. Good luck."

While Roice admitted in the docs to attending a protest at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, she said she did not participate in the riots that followed and has been cleared after an interview with the FBI.

Roice went on to claim that since Baldwin shared her photos on his Instagram page, she, her sister, Cheyenne, and Crayton have received "hostile, aggressive, hateful" messages on social media, and went on to call the actor's comments, "false, outrageous, defamatory, irresponsible, vindictive."

Roice and her family members are seeking damages of at least $25 million for alleged defamation, invasion of privacy, negligence and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

The lawsuit is the latest in litigation against Baldwin, who is currently being sued in the wake of the fatal Rust shooting.

Serge Svetnoy, the chief electrician on the set of Rust as well as armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, assistant director David Halls, and others are suing Baldwin and the film's production over the on-set shooting that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injured director Joel Souza.

Raven Gates and Adam Gottschalk are parents! The Bachelor in Paradise alums welcomed a baby boy early Tuesday morning, Adam announced on his Instagram Story.

According to Adam, Raven began having "really bad contractions" on Monday morning. She was taken to the hospital and given an epidural. That night, Adam provided another update, writing, "so far so smooth."

"Epidural is [key]," he wrote. "We are all hanging out watching TV and nurses coming in to check her body position. Raven is an absolute trooper! Soaking it all in."

Several hours later, Adam revealed their son had arrived, though the birth didn't exactly go according to plan.

"Little man made it," Adam wrote alongside a pic of his son's footprints. "Had emergency C-section after pushing for about an hour and a half."

Adam noted that "mom and baby are doing very well," before revealing that the newborn arrived at 3:33 a.m., weighing eight pounds and six ounces, and measuring 21 inches long.

The pair has yet to share a photo of their son or announce his name.

Gina Rodriguez is stepping behind the camera on Good Sam.

The actress directs the Jan. 19 episode of CBS' freshman medical drama, which stars Sophia Bush and Jason Isaacs. Rodriguez's turn in the director's chair marks a Jane the Virgin reunion between her and Bush, who guest starred in the dramedy's final season, as well as executive producer Jennie Snyder Urman, who also produces Good Sam.

Only ET has the exclusive behind-the-scenes photos of a masked-up Rodriguez in action on the Toronto-based Good Sam set as she leads the episode, titled "Butt of the Joke," and as she reunites with Bush and Urman.

The action picks up when Dr. Sam Griffith (Bush) refuses to concede her role as chief and her father, Griff (Isaacs), orchestrates a costly surprise. Sam’s mother, hospital administrator Vivian (Wendy Crewson), turns to her new spouse, therapist Asher Pyne (Sendhil Ramamurthy, who makes his first appearance in Tuesday's hour), for help navigating the battle between her daughter and ex-husband.

Good Sam follows Sam, a talented heart surgeon who finds her place at the top of the food chain as the new chief of surgery after her boss falls into a coma. Her boss happens to be her father, the arrogant and difficult but iconic Dr. Rob "Griff" Griffith, who's never respected Sam's brilliance in the operating room or in life. When he wakes up from his coma months later, Sam is stuck with the difficult task of supervising him while navigating the treacherous waters of a father who's never respected her.

Recently, Bush shared the advice she would offer to Sam.

"We're both women really learning to own our worth and really stepping into their own power and saying, 'I'm good at this and I deserve to be here and I earned my place here and I fought to be here and me being in charge makes sense,' and that is not a lesson that any of us learn quickly," the actress and producer told ET. "It's a lot of fun to be having that experience, to be reminded of that by my co-workers and also by my dearest friends and to see Sam being reminded by her dear friends and co-workers as well. There's a lot in this whole experience that has that sort of stardust or sparkle on it. It feels very kismet. There's magic in the air here."

Good Sam airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.

Danielle Brooks is officially married!

The Orange Is the New Black alum is reveling in her new status as a Mrs, and she's celebrating by giving fans a look at the day she and her new husband, Dennis Gelin, tied the knot. In an interview with Vogue, Brooks revealed that she and Gelin met during a game night that became a night "I will remember forever."

"A brother with a clean slate, has his own, and is thoughtful. Jackpot. I quickly slid him my phone to exchange numbers," she recalled of their first meeting. "...In that moment, I knew this was a man who was going to always love and appreciate me. I had found someone who wasn’t going to take me for granted, someone who knew my worth."

The couple got engaged two and a half years after they began dating, a little over a month after Brooks announced the birth of their daughter, Freeya, in November 2019.

Although the surge of Omicron resulted in extra precautions -- Brooks shared that their wedding planner, D’Concierge, added "required PCR tests and rapid tests" for the day of -- the Miami wedding went on without a hitch.

Brooks wore a ceremony gown from luxury British bespoke brand Alonuko, designed by London-based designer, Gbemi Okunlola. Her second gown was custom-designed by close friend Christian Siriano.

"It was very important to me to find a black wedding dress designer. When I tell you I hit jackpot finding @alonuko_bespoke, I hit jackpot," Brooks wrote in an Instagram post highlighting her gown. "She was incredible to work with and even flew all the way from London two days before my wedding to make sure the dress arrived in time. Thank you for your talent and professionalism! Brides, hire her!!! Thank you for adding to my special day!"

And when it came to the reveal and reception, Siriano was the obvious choice as the two have been friends "since my career first began."

"Words can’t express how grateful I am to have a friend like you. You’ve held me down from one of my first carpets to the most important day of my life! I love you and appreciate your friendship! Thank you for my 3 in 1 dress! Love you @csiriano," Brooks captioned a photo alongside the designer

Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson aren't shying away from PDA.

The SKIMS founder and the Saturday Night Live star enjoyed a night out on the town for a cozy and low-key date. In photos obtained by TMZ, the couple embraced one another as they stopped for ice cream in LA's Fairfax district on Tuesday.

For their latest outing, Kardashian rocked a gray-blue sweatshirt, with pleather pants and matching heels. The comedian opted for a graphic tee, light gray zip-up hoodie with multi-colored track pants and sneakers.

The two also had dinner at Jon & Vinny's, with the outlet sharing a snap of the two sitting at a booth across from one another.

Their latest outing comes after the pair recently returned from a post-NYE trip to the Bahamas. Earlier this week, a source told ET Kardashian "has such a great time with Pete. He makes her laugh, plays around and has a sense of humor."

“It is nice for Kim to be around that. Pete knows how to talk to Kim. He is the most confident guy, but not cocky. It is why it works with them," the source noted. "Kim thinks Pete is super sexy and likes how he knows so much about comedy, since that is a world she doesn't know as much about. Kim is just going with the flow, but they are spending so much time together, and things are really good right now."

As for her estranged husband Kanye "Ye" West spending time with actress Julia Fox, a separate source told ET on Wednesday that she isn't fazed by the new romance.

"Kim wants to move on from Kanye, so she isn't bothered that Julia and Kanye are seeing each other," the source said. "Kim is happy if Kanye is happy, and she is glad that he's putting his energy into someone else romantically."

Kate Middleton's milestone birthday calls for new portraits!

Kensington Palace released three new portraits of the Duchess of Cambridge on Saturday, ahead of Kate's 40th birthday. According to the Palace, the photos were taken in November at Kew Gardens by photographer Paolo Roversi.

The new portraits will become part of the Collection of the National Portrait Gallery, which is set to re-open in 2023. The portraits will be featured in the gallery's "Coming Home" project, which the palace dubs as "a nationwide initiative which sees portraits of well-known individuals being sent to locations which they are closely associated with." It'll give communities across the UK the opportunity to view famous works locally.

Middleton, looking flawless and showing off jewelry that once belonged to Princess Diana, selected three destinations which she deemed to have a special meaning to her -- Berkshire in South England, St. Andrews in Scotland and Anglesey, an island off the coast of Wales. The portraits are slated to appear there later this year, with details set to be announced at a later time by the National Portrait Gallery.

While the milestone birthday's cause for a big celebration, royal expert Kate Nicholl tells ET she thinks Kate will have a low-key celebration.

"I think we are going to see the duchess celebrate her 40th -- it is a milestone birthday, it's an important birthday -- and I think there will be a celebration, but I think it will be a celebration for family and for close friends," Nicholl said. "There was talk of a big party which has apparently been downscaled because of COVID and because of the restrictions. But I suspect that Kate is probably happier having something a little bit more low-key. She had a big 21st birthday but I think that was the last big birthday that she really, really celebrated."

The soiree will be so low key, Nicholl thinks it's very likely Kate will bake her own cake.

"I know that William sometimes gets in the kitchen, but really, Kate is the master chef and she's also brilliant at baking cake, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if she makes her own birthday cake," she says. "Cakes have always been a big tradition in the Middleton family and Kate has revealed how the nights before her children's birthdays, she is often up late into the night putting the final touches to a birthday cake."

John Mulaney and Anna Marie Tendler are no longer husband and wife.

ET confirmed the former couple has officially finalized their divorce. This comes almost six months after the comedian filed the paperwork, and a couple months after he welcomed his first child, son Malcolm, with Olivia Munn. ET has reached out to Mulaney's rep for comment.

Mulaney and Tendler tied the knot in July 2014 in Boiceville, New York. In May of 2021, ET confirmed that the couple was splitting after six years of marriage. They have no children together.

Mulaney checked himself into rehab for 60 days in December 2020 after struggling with alcohol and drug abuse. Tendler, an artist, told Page Six through her spokesperson following their split, "I am heartbroken that John has decided to end our marriage. I wish him support and success as he continues his recovery."

Shortly after the news of his separation from Tendler, Mulaney was spotted with Munn in May. The two went public with their romance in June after they were spotted together at Rick's Drive In & Out in Los Angeles.

In September, Mulaney revealed that he and Munn were expecting a baby during an interview with good friend Seth Meyers on Late Night With Seth Meyers. Reflecting on the past few months of his challenging life events, he said Munn "held my hand through that hell, and we are having a baby, together. I'm gonna be a dad! I'm really -- we're both really, really happy."

The couple welcomed their son in November, with the new parents introducing Malcolm Hiệp Mulaney in December by sharing the first photo of their bundle of joy. Mulaney and Munn have since shared sweet moments with their little one on social media.

For more on the pair, see below.
