Val Chmerkovskiy couldn't be prouder of his Dancing With the Stars partner, Olivia Jade Giannulli. ET's Lauren Zima spoke with the pair on Monday, and the two addressed Val having some preconceived notions about Olivia when he learned she would be his partner this season, and how she quickly proved him wrong.

Val recently appeared on Olivia's podcast, Conversations With Olivia Jade. During their candid chat, he admitted that he wasn't excited when he found out they would be paired together. He said that he didn't know anything about her other than what he had been told, and questioned whether or not she had a work ethic and if she was entitled. But Val told ET that he was quickly surprised.

"Honestly, it happens really quickly. It happens in the first five minutes," he said. "You know, you get a sense of 'OK, her tone has, you know, has gratitude in it.' It has tact and courtesy and grace and, you know, you're just like, all right this is, first of all, an educated young woman -- a very well-spoken young woman. And then, you know, a very kind and gracious young woman and that's it. After that I was like, all right, I'm gonna do the rest, you know? Hopefully she can dance too, and she can."

"But that's the qualities I look for," he continued. "The dancing is easy. The dancing is, you know, the dancing is my job. Those other qualities, I'm not good at masking someone’s, you know what I mean, lack of gratitude."

As for Olivia, she said it took some time for her to have some pride in her performance on the show, especially since most viewers only knew her from her involvement in the college admissions scandal.

"It definitely wasn't after the first or second week," she shared. "It's scary in general for anybody putting yourself out there and then already being in the public eye, and I feel like most people -- besides, you know, my OG subscribers and fans that have watched my YouTube that I'm so grateful for -- but I do feel like most people know me for a certain thing and a certain narrative, and I was just really excited that I had this chance to maybe show a different side and to hopefully switch it a little bit. I think the confidence started to come probably, like, maybe week four, week five."

But Val interjected that her confidence actually came from the support of their fellow competitors.

"You know, even with the COVID restrictions, the camaraderie between the cast is just ... is inevitable, you know, and so the friendship that she felt, the support that she felt from people in this room," he noted. "Sometimes, like I said, you just need a few other people to give you that license to smile and to enjoy yourself."

Olivia also definitely has her parents, Lori Loughlin and designer Mossimo Giannulli, cheering her on.

"She's texting all her friends to vote," she said of her mother. "Both of them, I mean, my dad too, they watch every single Monday. They're so supportive."

The winter temperatures of Stowe, Vermont, might not be ready for the heat coming courtesy of the Winter House cast. ET has your exclusive first look at Wednesday's all-new episode, which finds newbies Julia McGuire and Gabby Kniery having a fiery face-off, après-ski-style. Julia pulls Gabby aside during a group outing to the mountains after hearing her friend is upset with her from housemate Ciara Miller.

"Ciara last night came to me and all of a sudden she was like, 'Gabby's pissed at you because you were dancing with Luke...'" Julia starts, referencing the night before when things got a little frisky (albeit still PG-rated) between the model and Summer House's Luke Gulbranson, whom Gabby has a crush on, a crush Julia is well aware of.

"It wasn't just that," Gabby fires back. "You were like, 'Do you want me to talk to him? Do you want me to talk to him?' All of a sudden, you're, like, grinding on him."

"I thought maybe I would save it for when he's, like, building the igloo or something a little more intimate, to have a real conversation," Julia replies, referencing the very real igloo Luke is for some unknown reason building outside the group's rental chalet. "I'm not going to pull him aside when I'm f**ked up!"

"But that's not it, though," Gabby says, cutting Julia off. Her tension with Julia goes back deeper than just grinding on Luke; Gabby actually blames Julia for her last relationship's demise.

"You're so mad at me for... dancing with a guy? I have a boyfriend," Julia reminds Gabby.

"I don't think you understand it, though. Let the tables turn is what I'm trying to say," Gabby replies. Watch their exchange here:

"I'm not trying to be a b***h about it, like, obviously I care about our friendship but like, I just don't see it the way you see it," Julia tells her friend.

"Julia can never be wrong," Gabby goes on to remark in a confessional. "Julia has an ego. Julia will never, ever see someone else's perspective."

"I'm telling you how I felt and expressing that you hurt me," Gabby tells Julia, who isn't buying what Gabby's selling and responds with, "Well, you're not expressing. You actually went and told somebody else how you were feeling and they came to me."

"Do not turn that s**t," Gabby threatens. "Do not do that."

"OK. Well, then nothing's getting accomplished," Julia scoffs back, as Gabby walks away. There's more Gabby drama to come,  it seems -- at least judging by the season trailer, in which Southern Charm star Craig Conover narrates, "Gabby's hell-bent on destroying this house." That sneak peek also features Gabby alleging Kyle Cooke -- who was then-engaged (now married) to housemate Amanda Batula -- was coming on to her. The revelation was news to Kyle and Amanda!

"To be honest, I'm eager to see how that played out, too, because I don't remember," Kyle confessed to ET in October. "And I don't necessarily blame the alcohol. I was just being me. I was being friendly. I'm flirty and I'm also kind of out there, and so maybe I gave her the wrong impressions. I wasn't aware of it, 'til I saw the teaser."

"Gabby and I had some really nice moments together, and she loves Kyle and I, so I'm quite interested to see what happened and if I am going to have to text her," Amanda added, saying she too had no clue about the flirting allegation.

To be fair, a good amount of flirting went down while filming Winter House because the majority of the cast was single. Kyle and Amanda were the only in-house couple, while Julia and Craig were the only other "taken" individuals.

"The chemistry was there," Amanda teases of what fans will see when they tune into Winter House, every Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.

Social media star Eva Gutowski, aka @mylifeaseva, is used to giving her 11.4 million YouTube subscribers a peek inside her life -- from advice on how to survive a breakup, to outfit inspiration, to her morning regimen, and more.

Regardless of what she's sharing, the vlogger always relies on a laid-back approach when it comes to her content, and now she's spilling some of her top beauty and wellness tips exclusively with ET.

"When I first started my channel in 2012, I was trying so hard to be this perfect beauty guru, simply because that’s what I saw all the more popular girls on YouTube doing. Meanwhile, I didn’t even own makeup," she explains.

"If you watch my first videos, I bought the cheapest makeup I could find and was trying to create looks just to fit in. ... After about 5 months, I realized that I should be myself and invite comedy into my channel, since that’s what I really loved doing. ... Since then, I stick to the philosophy that my channel should always be authentically me," the influencer continues.

When Gutowski is being her true self, she makes sure to go back to her roots, which include a sustainable and minimalistic attitude that she adopted from growing up in Hawaii and the Kauai surf community.

"I’d find myself getting told on minute's notice, 'Hey, we're going for a surf!' or 'Let's go camping tonight!' and I’d be in the bathroom for 45 minutes doing my hair and makeup, only to sweat it off within hours," she shares.

"I was doing too much for the lifestyle I was trying to live, and it was severely holding me back. ... It took me 3 years of this routine to finally wean off of it and adapt a quicker and more minimal approach," the 27-year-old adds.

Now, her everyday self-care practices consist of a few steps including wearing less makeup and listening to her body.

"I never wear foundation. I stopped years ago since it always breaks me out. ... I also don’t wear highlighter anymore since I like to let my skin’s natural glow show through," she shares.

"I stopped wearing full lipstick and instead just pat it on like a light stain. It makes my lips look naturally large and pillowy," Gutowski continues.

As for her skincare routine, Gutowski avoids harsh products and isn't afraid of getting a little dirty when staying active.

"I cut out any skincare with weird smells or crazy colors. ... I do good face masks around three times a week and I shave my legs only on special occasions. ... I started hiking barefoot and letting mud get on my face, and honestly liking it," the YouTuber says.

Her followers can get their very on taste of her simplistic perspective with the launch of Gutowski's dermatologist approved, 100 percent vegan and cruelty-free skincare collection, Coastal Citizen, featuring Morning Water, a no-rinse cleanser and reusable, oversized Bamboo Terry rounds.

"Your skin and body needs and wants a lot less than what we’re told," she notes. "Had I never learned how to make small changes that make a big lifestyle difference, I would have never cleared my skin, or had the adventurous life that I love so much."

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner have figured out a shared interest for passing the time during quarantine -- Lego building! Although that same passion may have led to some friction.Jonas recently spoke with WSJ.'s "My Monday Morning" series, and opened up about how their lockdown pastime also caused a bit of tension due to Jonas' wavering attention span."I got very into Lego building. My wife and I probably built 10 monstrous Legos," the singer shared with the publication. "It was also quite funny, because I was super focused on helping her but then I was getting easily distracted and playing Fortnite.""At first we argued about it, and then it was like, she loves her organization and it’s completely different from the way I would build it," he continued. "[I said], 'You do you; I’ll be here for support.'"Jonas said he then became "moral support" for Turner as she continued to build away."I’ll make the cocktails for us," he explained. "We built the Batmobile; we built Harry Potter [Wizarding] World."WSJ. magazine's "My Monday Morning" series features conversations with self-motivated professionals who reflect on how they start their day and what drives them to succeed. Jonas -- who shares a 1-year-old daughter, Willa, with Turner -- reflected on his own motivations and when he feels most creative."I would say usually at night," Jonas revealed. "That’s when I’m performing; that’s when I’m usually in the studio writing, recording. I’ve had a drink or two so I feel a little bit looser."While he's now a father -- as is his brother and bandmate Kevin Jonas -- the singer says the best bit of advice he's ever gotten came courtesy of his own father."Our dad always tells us, 'Live like you’re at the bottom even if you’re at the top,'" Joe shared. "That helps us stay humble throughout the years."Check out more from Jonas' conversation with WSJ. magazine here.Inside Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas’ New Life as Parents! This video is unavailable because we were unable to load a message from our sponsors. If you are using ad-blocking software, please disable it and reload the page.RELATED CONTENT:Joe Jonas Jokingly Promises a Jonas Bros vs. Hemsworth Bros MMA FightSee Katy Perry & Orlando Bloom Attend Star-Studded Louis Vuitton EventJoe Jonas & Sophie Turner Celebrate 2nd Anniversary of French WeddingJoe Jonas Swoons Over 'Amazing' Sophie Turner in Instagram Comments
