(Meredith) – One of the biggest shopping days of the year is just around the corner – we’re talking about Amazon Prime Day!

This year, Prime Day will be a full 48 hours and will take place Monday, June 21 and Tuesday, June 22. There are more than 2 million deals this year, which is twice as many deals as last year.

Chloe Reznikov, General Manager of eCommerce Content at Meredith Corporation, said while smart home products, electronics and appliances are always big sellers, there are plenty of great sales on beauty, fashion and even pet products that shouldn’t be overlooked.

Rachel Sylvester, Senior Editor at Real Simple magazine, said not to forget Amazon products as well, like Amazon Echoes, Kindles, and Fire Tablets.

This year, Amazon is bringing back its deal to support small businesses. Now through Sunday, June 20, Prime members can get a $10 credit to use on Prime Day when they spend $10 on select products from small businesses on Amazon. More than 300,000 small business sellers are eligible in this deal. Reznikov said this incentive is part of Amazon’s effort to invest $100 million in small businesses. To learn more about this deal, visit amazon.com/supportsmall.

Reznikov and Sylvester both suggest making a wish list prior to the start of Prime Day because there will likely be deals on all of those items. They recommend adding all of your “wish list” items to your Amazon shopping cart ahead of time. Then, as soon as the price drops on Prime Day, purchase the item to snag the deal right away.

You can also utilize Alexa to grant you early access to some sales. Starting on June 18 at noon, you can shop these early access deals by asking your device, “Alexa, what are my deals?”

If you’re not an Amazon Prime member, you can still access many of the Prime Day sales. However, if you are a Prime member, you can access even more.
