The St Thomas Aquinas Choir will be singing backup for Foreigner at Starlight, giving 25 area high school students a chance of a lifetime.
For the past nine years, the band has welcomed a local choir to join in on it at every show.
“I’m so excited for it," said senior Lauren Welch. "It’s not every day you get to sing with Foreigner on stage in front of thousands of people.”
Last year, the school’s choir won a radio contest and only a third of them fit on the stage. This year, when they were invited back, the director picked an all new group.
Last year’s group filled them in on the full experience.
"They got to connect with the band in a one-on-one kind of way," junior Reece Lovitt said.
With each road stop, the performing school gets $500 towards its music program.
Foreigner is expected to hit the stage a little before 9:30 p.m.
