80th and Brooklyn

Police were called about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday to a home in the 8000 block of South Brooklyn Avenue on a shooting call.

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -- A man was murdered after a shooting, and now authorities are searching for the person who pulled the trigger.

Police were called about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday to a home in the 8000 block of South Brooklyn Avenue on a shooting call.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found a man dead from an apparent gunshot wound inside the home.

Investigators said just before the shooting there was a disturbance inside the home between the victim and one or more other people.

There is no information available at this time on possible suspects.

If anyone has any information about what led up to the shooting or where the suspect may be, they are asked to call TIPS Hotline at 474-TIPS or the Homicide Unit directly at 234-5043.

Police are investigating a homicide that took place near 80th and Brooklyn.
