A photo of an off-duty Kansas City police officer taking orders at a local McDonald's has gone viral.

Antoney Perez has been a police officer for 11 years.

While off-duty, but still in uniform, he works for the McDonald's on Hardesty and Independence Ave.

One customer, Perez says, wasn't happy to see him.

“I went over and talked to him and said I was like, 'hey man what’s going on?'" he said. "He was like, 'I don’t talk to people like you.' How are you doing today? He was like, 'are you going to take my order or leave me alone?'”

Perez took the customer’s order and someone snapped a photo of him doing it. It’s now going viral after it was posted on social media, including the Kansas City Police Department's Facebook account.

Sergio Rensunzo, 16, is an employee at the McDonald's location and says he cherishes the relationship he has with the police officer.

"I love officer Perez," he said. "He's a cool person. We got a good relationship. It’s cool because having somebody we can rely on trust like that it’s amazing."
