GENERIC: Police lights

RAYTOWN, MO (KCTV) -- One person was shot and injured in Raytown overnight.

The shooting victim arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound at about 2:36 a.m. on Friday.

It was later determined that he was shot in the 6400 block of Raytown Road.

When officers arrived at the hospital, the man told them he was walking on 64th Street at about 12:30 a.m. when he was approached by someone he didn’t know. He then heard a loud bang and later found that he had been shot.

Then, he went to the hospital to have has non-life-threatening injuries treated.

The Raytown Police Department’s Investigations Unit is handling the case. No arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
