(Meredith) – Three young boys are mourning the loss of their mother, who police said died after someone shot her in the head as she ordered breakfast in a McDonald’s drive-thru.

Police said 32-year-old Jamie Marie Roque was ordering her food Friday morning when a gunman shot her at least once outside the restaurant in Jacksonville.

She died one hour later at the hospital, the Florida Times-Union reported. No arrests have been made, as police continue to search for the suspect.

Roque's aunt, Rose Mary Lopez, told the newspaper that Roque was devoted to her sons – two of whom are autistic.

“She was a beautiful person. She loved life and her family,” Lopez said, according to the Times-Union. “She was all about her kids and her mom, who has lost it over this.”

According to WJXT, several witnesses reported seeing the suspect drive away from the scene following the shooting. Investigators also believe Roque may have known the gunman.

The owner of the McDonald’s franchise, Jose Hernandez, later released the following statement:Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim’s family and loved ones. We are working with law enforcement as part of this ongoing investigation. Our biggest priority is always the safety and well-being of our employees and customers at our restaurants.Roque’s family has also set up a GoFundMe account to help pay for her funeral expenses.
