Local utility worker killed while helping restore power to Gulf

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS, MO. (KCTV5) -- A utility worker from Excelsior Springs, Missouri, was killed while helping restore power on the Gulf Coast following damage sustained from Hurricane Sally.

WKRC News 5, a CBS affiliate in Mobile, Alabama, reports that 37-year-old Darrell Holt died following a crash in Mississippi on Wednesday.

He worked for R&M Pole Line Construction, according to the report.

His family members have set up a GoFundMe account to help.
