(Meredith) -- By the time experts recognized the start of the pandemic in the U.S., it's possible the coronavirus was already here and established.

Part of the problem in tracking the virus has been its vague symptoms, which are similar to a cold or the flu, experts said.

Genetic analysis of the virus indicate COVID-19 was likely circulating in epicenter communities for weeks.

It's not out of the question that this virus has been spreading in the U.S. since the early part of 2020.

"It's not out of the question that this virus has been spreading in the U.S. since the early part of 2020".... you think? the first case was reported 1/15/20, I would say it's pretty safe to conclude that it was around since the early part of 2020.... SMH...
