Leavenworth flooding

LEAVENWORTH COUNTY, KS. (KCTV) --- The Missouri River continues to rise in Leavenworth County, as it's expected to reach 31 feet and four inches by Saturday evening.

Among those assisting in preparing the city and county to deal with the flooding are inmates at Lansing Correctional Facility.

The City of Leavenworth said on its Facebook page Saturday morning that Mayor Jermaine Wilson and inmates assisted in filling sandbags at Riverfront Community Center.
