Fire damages 3 apartments in Olathe, displaces 5 residents

A fire displaced five people on Saturday in Olathe.

The Harrison Square Apartments at 801 S. Harrison caught fire just after 10 p.m.

When firefighters arrived, flames were coming from a second-floor apartment.

Firefighters quickly attacked the fire, which damaged three apartments and displaced approximately five people. The American Red Cross and Mission Southside are helping them.

Fire investigators are working to determine what caused the fire and calculate a damage estimate.

Two firefighters were taken to a local hospital for minor medical issues.
