(Meredith) - Snoop Dogg and Will Ferrell are urging their fellow Californians to stay home during the coronavirus pandemic.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom released videos this week of the celebs talking about staying safe amid the outbreak.
In one of the public service announcements, Ferrell highlighted the importance of social distancing, all while wearing a party suit.
"If you're like me — you know, a young millennial, 18 to 40 — we love to go out on the town and party. But right now, we gotta stay at home," said Will Ferrell, who's actually 52.
"Since we have to stay home during this COVID-19 crisis, create your own party, create your own club right here in the comfort of your own house."
Newsom also tweeted: "Be like Will - party with the people you live with & continue to practice social distancing to keep CA healthy!"
In a second video clip, Snoop Dogg urged people to stay in the house as much as possible.
"Do not go outside unless you have to, please," he said. "The longer you stay outside, the longer [we're] going to be inside."
Last week, Newsom ordered all 40 million Californians to stay home due to the coronavirus outbreak. It's likely the measure will remain in place over the next two to three months.
As of Thursday, California has reported 2,535 coronavirus cases, including 53 deaths, according to CNN.
