(Meredith) -- It seems like everyone is talking about the new Netflix docu-series "Tiger King," including many celebrities.

But many may not have expected O.J. Simpson to weigh in.

Simpson, who is best known for being tried in 1995 for the murders of his former wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman, gave his thoughts about one of the show's murder plots.

Don Lewis, the former husband of one of the show's stars, Carole Baskin, went missing in 1997. His body was never found, and no one has ever been charged in his disappearance.

Other stars of the show, including the "Tiger King" himself Joe Exotic, believe Baskin killed her husband and fed him to her big cats.

Baskin has completely denied any involvement in her husband's disappearance and has spoken negatively about the Netflix show portraying her in such a light.

But Simpson, in a video he posted to Twitter, said he finally got around to watching "Tiger King" and also believes Baskin killed her husband.

"There's not a shred of doubt in my mind that that lady's husband is tiger sashimi right now... I'm just saying," Simpson said in the video.

Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister in Florida said the show has generated a lot of new interest in the cold case. His office is receiving about six tips a day, he said.

"We are already receiving new tips and we hope to close this cold case soon with the help of the public," Chronister told CNN.
