Crash at 435 and 152

PLATTE COUNTY, MO (KCTV) -- Two people were injured in a crash in the Northland on Friday. 

The crash happened shortly before 3:30 p.m. on westbound Missouri Highway 152 and east of I-435.

Two vehicles were involved in the wreck and two injured people were cut out of the wreckage.

According to the crash log released on Saturday, the crash happened when a 2007 Ford Mustang went off the road, crossed the median, and went into oncoming traffic. There, it hit a 2017 Nissan Sentra head-on. 

The drivers were the only people in each car. The person driving the Mustang sustained moderate injuries and the person driving the Sentra sustained serious injuries. 

Highway 152 was closed in both directions due to the crash. The Missouri State Highway Patrol was also on the scene.
