For those dreaming of delicious hamburgers, crinkle-cut fries and frozen custard, get ready.

The first Shake Shack in the Kansas City area is coming to the Country Club Plaza in the fall.

The 3,562-square foot restaurant will feature an outdoor patio and plenty of seating.

In keeping with Shake Shack’s commitment to green architecture and eco-friendly construction, the Plaza location will be constructed with recycled and sustainable materials. Booths will be made from lumber certified by the Forest Stewardship Council, and table tops will be made from reclaimed bowling alley lanes.

The restaurant will be located at 239 W. 47th St. where Talbots, a longtime Plaza tenant offering women’s clothing and accessories, once stood. Talbots closed last month.

Shake Shack was established in 2004 and has more than 100 locations around the country, coming a long way from operating inside a hot dog cart in Manhattan.

The Shack offers menu items such as burgers, chicken sandwiches, frozen custard, and alcoholic beverages such as beer and wine.
