Lakeview’s Child Development Center is searching for both a full time and a part time Float Teacher to join the team that provides a nurturing environment in our Intergenerational Child Development Center. The center operates Monday – Friday, 6:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., the schedule varies based on the needs of the department.

Dining Services is looking for full time Cooks and a full time Catering Event Server, we offer a work/life balance that is not easily found within the food and beverage industry. Kitchens operate 7 days per week and schedules vary based on the needs of each department.

Long Term Care and Short Stay Rehabilitation: looking for Nurses (LPN and RN) for full time.

Nurse:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promoting the residents’ well-being and satisfaction by supporting resident-centered care, developing and interpreting standards of care.
  • Observes resident status as necessary to assure quality care and coordinates with other resident services to assure continuity of care.
  • Provides leadership to neighborhood staff to maintain policies and procedures for clinical practices and household management that support the values of Person First and resident directed care.
  • Document completely, accurately and as needed on incidents, emergency care, and skilled services on all residents in the neighborhood.
  • Directly supervises the Certified Nurse Aides and Certified Medication Aides, in the neighborhood.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND PHYSICAL DEMAND

  • Must have a valid Registered Nurse licensure according to state of Kansas.
  • If a Licensed Practical Nurse, IV certification preferred.
  • CPR certified required.

$5,000 retention incentive for qualified applicants to be paid out over the first year of employment, additional details provided by Human Resources.

Lakeview Child Development Center is an inter-generational program that provides a nurturing, fun, and positive environment designed to promote the development of the whole child, as well as the interactions that promote meaningful relationships among the children and Lakeview Village Retirement Community residents.

Schedule Varies Monday-Friday during open center hours 6:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • We expect our Teachers to be educated, kind, loving, fun, professional and creative.
  • Interacting with children individually and as a group to encourage their involvement in activities.
  • Appropriately supervise children in the classroom, restrooms, on the playground, and during intergenerational activities.
  • Understand and adhere to all health and safety requirements of Lakeview Village and the Child Development Center.
  • Assist in cleaning classrooms and the kitchen areas to ensure proper cleanliness and sanitation.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND PHYSICAL DEMAND

  • In accordance with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, this position requires the applicant to be at least 18 years of age.
  • Early childhood teaching experience in a licensed classroom is required.

Dining Services is searching for Cooks, Diet Aides, Utility Workers, Catering Event Staff and Servers

Kitchens Operate 6:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. and schedules vary based on the needs of the department and availability of the applicant. Both full and part-time positions are available.

Cook:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The primary purpose of this position is to guarantee the highest level of hospitality and satisfaction for Lakeview Village residents and guests by providing quality food and service.
  • Basic knowledge of HACCP protocols (Sanitation, food borne illness, cross-contamination, etc).
  • Ability to work independently, display a kind, courteous attitude, work in a team-oriented setting with residents, relatives, staff and others.
  • Working knowledge of multiple cooking techniques and stations, standardized recipes.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND PHYSICAL DEMAND

  • Minimum of one (1) year short-order/cook-to-order cooking experience REQUIRED, three (3) years preferred.
  • Ability to manually lift 30 pounds 95% of the time and lift 50 pounds 5% of time worked.

Diet Aide:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide the highest quality of service to residents at all times.
  • Setup steam table for meal service and assure that all food items and serving utensils needed are available.
  • Serve meals according to the residents selected menu and their diet. Honors resident food preferences. Assures that the meal served is correct according to the diet profile book.
  • Monitor residents for swallowing and choking problems. Notify concerns to appropriate staff.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND PHYSICAL DEMAND

  • 1 year serving or diet aide experience preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to manually lift 30 pounds 95% and lift 50 pounds 5% of time worked.

Utility Worker:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sweep and mop floors, washing worktables, walls refrigerators and meat blocks and removing trash and garbage to designated areas.
  • Scrape food from dirty dishes, pots and pans and washes them by hand or places them in dishwashing machine, utilizing proper infection control procedures.
  • Cleans equipment using specific chemicals to insure sanitary standards.

  • Cleaning chemicals and other hazardous materials
  • Ability to manually lift 30 pounds 95% and lift 50 pounds 5% of time worked.

Catering Event Server:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Properly set up and decorate all catering events. This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Provide excellent service and hospitality at all scheduled catering events. This includes but is not limited to:
    • Ensuring guest satisfaction during event
    • Communicating catering information to fellow staff and guests
    • Anticipating and accommodating any guest needs
  • Responsibly serve alcoholic beverages

  • As required by the regulations of the Kansas Alcohol Beverage Control, must be 21 years of age or older.
  • 1 year of catering, restaurant, or banquet service experience.

Schedule is: Monday – Friday, every 3rd weekend 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collect soiled laundry, linens, and garments that have been placed in appropriate containers in assigned soiled utility areas or carts.

• List and count non-personal flat linen, sheets, pillowcases, towels.

• Wash & dry laundry per instruction.

• Separate, fold and/or hang garments and deliver to respective areas.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND PHYSICAL DEMAND

  • Must be able to walk, bend, lift, reach, and stand 90% of the day.

  • Floor covering installation excluding carpet

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND PHYSICAL DEMAND

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a skills remodeler
  • Demonstrated ability to lift 100 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, turn and/or twist when necessary
  • Ability to climb and walk downstairs
