It was 2011 the tornado outbreak of the south. A tornado was passing by her middle school when all the teachers scurried to get students to their safe spot. All she could think about was seeing the tornado and understanding why it happens. Why an entire building gets destroyed but there is one boat without a scratch on it. That’s what got Savannah into meteorology.
Savannah is a southern Tennessee gal who loves to snowboard, wakeboard, and relax on a beach.
Savannah received her degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin. She interned at WKRN in Nashville, TN with her mentor Danielle Breezy. Savannah received her first job in Cheyenne, Wyoming at KGWN as the evening meteorologist. After a year out west, she decided to move a little closer to home which landed her a job in Springfield,Mo (KOLR) to be the weekend Meteorologist.
After Savannah visited Kansas City a few times, she fell in love with the feel of a small town in a big city. She also has friends and family in the area!
With her time off Savannah enjoys finding new restaurants, spending time with her three dogs, and enjoying cocktails on a patio. If you have any suggestions Savannah should try email or message her!
