KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A line of potent storms passed through last night, bringing severe weather to some, especially south and west of Kansas City. These storms used up the fuel storms need to go severe, so the risk has dropped dramatically. That said, a few scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible through the morning commute. Additional rain could bring a few spots of flooding.

We should dry out before lunchtime, then we get very hot, humid, and mostly sunny. High temperatures will reach around 91 degrees, but the heat index will feel closer to 105 degrees. A Heat Advisory is in effect from noon to 10 PM across the area.
