Woman on the run for nearly 2 years found inside air conditioning vent, authorities say

GRADY COUNTY, Ga. (WALB/Gray News) - A wanted fugitive was arrested this week after authorities say she was discovered in an air conditioning vent.

According to the Grady County Sheriff’s Office, Kayla McKenzie, who had an outstanding felony bench warrant, was found inside a vent in a Moultrie home on Monday after investigators received a tip.

McKenzie was taken into custody with the help of the Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office.

She faces charges related to her warrant after being on the run for nearly two years, Grady County authorities said.
