RIVERSIDE, Mo. (KCTV) - Orange has taken over a Riverside neighborhood, and the Netherlands soccer team hasn’t even arrived yet.

Jeff Parson, owner of Fearless Jack Rabbit Art, created the display just off Northwest Gateway Avenue after city leaders approached him with the idea.

“The mayor told me he wanted to paint the town orange, I was like lets do this,” Parson said.

Parson started the project 3 ½ weeks ago. He unveiled the display Monday, April 20.

“Give me some plywood, paint and a bunch of Dr Pepper, I’m out. I’m going let’s do this,” Parson said.

Riverside is the Netherlands’ home base for the World Cup in Kansas City. The display features Netherlands players and pride.

“We’ve got a 4 lane road here, that’s the best gallery in the world,” Parson said.

Parson said he’s never done something to reach a worldwide audience, but he’s excited about the project.

“Its more popular than grandmas mac and cheese at the family cook out, I’m blown away by it. I’m just excited to see everyone reaction,” Parson said.

The art will be on display until Aug. 1, 2026.
