Goose on the Loose: Lenexa Police led on wild goose chase

LENEXA, Kan. (KCTV) - Members of the Lenexa Police Department were led on a wild goose chase near the Oak Park Mall over the weekend, literally.

The Lenexa, Kansas, Police Department says that on Friday afternoon, May 2, a couple of officers were led on a high-stakes chase across field and pavement - well, across the street, as they attempted to round up a gaggle of wild goslings.

First responders noted that when they arrived at the scene near Lenexa and Westgate St., they found several wayward goslings and a rescue mission to ensure their safety in a nearby pond was hatched.

The plan had gone smoothly until one rebellious juvenile attempted to make a break for it in the parking lot of a nearby Discount Tire. Ultimately, justice and safety prevailed as all the babies were returned to the safety of their gander.
