KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - We have a weather disturbance moving through our area into Friday. It will bring rain and gusty winds at times before we clear out into the weekend.

Extra-warm weather arrives by early next week. While we can’t say for sure that we can put a fork in winter, the outlook for now shows a decidedly spring-like pattern. It will be tough for winter to make a comeback from what we see now.

The rain chances throughout the day for Friday, March 7.(KCTV5)

A few scattered and light showers will be around overnight, largely clearing the area by 3 a.m. Any rain that falls will be on the light side, if you see any at all.

It’s all gone by Friday morning, as we wake up to sunshine and mild (for early March) temperatures in the upper 30s. Winds will be a little breezy from the southeast at 10-15 mph. These will crank up out of the southwest for the afternoon, gusting to 35 mph. This will help push highs to the warmer upper 50s. Clouds will increase, and our next round of rain is possible from 4-8 pm Friday. This will be quick and scattered, but dinner plans could have a little wet weather mixed in.

The wind and clouds move out to make for a sunny and calm weekend. Saturday is decent for plans outside, but it’s still a bit cool with highs in the lower 50s. Sunday is the day, as we are about 10 degrees warmer and hit the low 60s.

Next week takes the cake, though. Monday and Tuesday each bring sunshine and low to mid-70s, highs that are more typical of May than March. A round of scattered rain is possible by Wednesday.
