KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Years after it opened it’s doors to feed people in Kansas City’s 18th and Vine District, the owner of a restaurant announced it plans to close.
Chef Anita Moore said Soiree will serve its last meal at the end of August.
Moore posted on social media that closing the restaurant is simply a financial one.
She also plans to host a farewell event to celebrate the time in the 18th and Vine District and all of the memories she’s made there.

“We cannot express enough gratitude for the support and love you have shown us over the years. Your patronage had meant the world to us, and we cherish the relationships we’ve built within this community,” Moore said.
Moore’s plan is to run a limited menu of customer favorites as specials daily until the end of the month.
