KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Kansas City Police are investigating a deadly scene at 36th and Agnes Monday afternoon, after 4 p.m.

Officers were dispatched to a house on a shooting call. Upon arrival, police was met by callers who stated minutes earlier that an adult male, suffering for gunshot wounds, arrived at that location and was unresponsive.

According to police, people took the victim from the scene in a private vehicle.

The occupants of that vehicle contacted officers near 31st and Prospect where police arranged for EMS to respond. From there the victim was transported to the hospital by EMS for treatment.

Investigators determined that this shooting may have occurred at another, unknown location. Detectives are working to gather more information on the original location.

Later, detectives were advised that the victim died at an area hospital from his injuries. On Tuesday, the victim was identified as 19-year-old Deion Miles.

This is an active investigation. Detectives have been at the scene along with crime scene investigators processing for evidence and canvassing for witnesses.
