FAIRWAY, Kan. -- Storms brought large hail and damaging winds to northwest Missouri.Meteorologist Gary Amble said large hail, damaging winds and even rotational characteristics were present in the storms that blew through the state. A tornado was confirmed on the ground near Kidder, Mo., about 11 p.m.Lydia Campbell, a dispatcher for the Holt County Sheriff's Department, reported a large amount of tree debris about 7:45 p.m. She said they had so much baseball-size hail that the ground around the dispatch center appeared white.A storm over Lake Viking produced hail the size of grapefruits for about 10 minutes, Amble said. Residents reported hail damage to homes and trees, but no injuries.Monday's high won't reach past the upper 70s, but it will be a dry day, said meteorologist Gary Amble.
