    KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- An ozone alert has been issued for Kansas City.

    It kicks in Friday.

    The ozone alert means children, the elderly and anyone with respiratory conditions should limit their time outdoors, especially during the afternoon and early evening hours.

    There's also an excessive heat warning from 1 p.m. Friday to 8 p.m. Monday.
