A security guard ended up trapped on the top of his vehicle in rising flood waters, and his rescue was caught on tape.

It happened Wednesday morning at West 114th Street and Tomahawk Creek Parkway.

The man used his cell phone to call for help and then used the blinking lights on the top of his security vehicle to help rescuers spot him.

When firefighters arrived, they used a ladder to pull him to safety.
