Workers checked a bridge Wednesday afternoon after a tractor-trailer full of cattle got wedged underneath it.

Crews pulled the truck from under the railroad bridge at Independence and Topping avenues.

The height of the bridge was only 12 feet, but the driver said he didn't see any warning signs.

The driver, who was heading to Winchester, Kan., from Boonville, Mo., with the 51 cattle in the truck, said he'd never taken the route before.

No cattle were injured in the incident.
