The Missouri Department of Transportation has a new webcam positioned on the top of the Paseo Bridge so Kansas Citians can get a bird's-eye view of the new Christopher S. Bond Bridge as it is being constructed.

The camera captures photos of workers' progress on the cable-stayed Missouri River bridge daily between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., according to a news release from MoDOT.

Visitors to the webcam Web site can view and e-mail a current or archived photo, view an animation and open a web window to view a time-lapsed movie.

MoDOT plans to add webcams this fall to provide project views from the north and southeast.
