Cattle Truck Overturns On Highway

CASS COUNTY, Mo. -- Traffic was slowed on Missouri Highway 71 for several hours Wednesday morning after a cattle truck overturned.

The truck carrying the cattle overturned in the southbound lane of the highway just north of Peculiar at about 2 a.m.

Workers spent hours coaxing the cattle out of the truck and into a waiting vehicle, then cleaning up the mess.

Police are investigating what caused the crash.
