A motorcyclist was killed Friday during a collision with an ambulance, according to Kansas City police.

MAST Ambulance spokesman Jason White said the crash happened at about 4:30 p.m. on North Belmont Boulevard near Northeast Chouteau Trafficway.

No patient was aboard the ambulance at the time, and the ambulance crew was not injured, White said.

The ambulance was not responding to a call at the time of the wreck, White added.
