Short Term Projects

K-5: On Tuesday, June 2, a resurfacing project will begin on K-5 from the K-5/I-435 interchange to Wolcott Road. Crews will work during daylight hours, Monday through Friday, with some occasional Saturday work.

Long Term Projects

K-7: All ramps at the K-7 and US-24/40 interchange will be closed for construction on the new K-7 and US-24/40 interchange. This closure will be in effect through late winter 2008-09.

K-7: Northbound and southbound will be reduced to one lane in each direction from 130th Street to Parallel Parkway for construction of the new K-7 and US-24/40 interchange. This closure will be in effect through late winter 2008-09.

US-24/40 (State Avenue): All ramps at the K-7 and US-24/40 interchange will be closed for construction on the new K-7 and US-24/40 interchange. This closure will be in effect through late winter 2008-09.

US-24/40 (State Avenue): Eastbound and westbound will be reduced to one lane from 142nd Street to 130th Street for roadway reconstruction. This closure will be in effect through late winter 2008-09.

I-435: A repair project on the southbound I-435 bridge over the Missouri Pacific Railroad in Wyandotte County. The bridge is located 0.37 miles northeast of the K-5/North 93rd Street and I-435 interchange. Work will take place daily, Monday through Friday (with an occasional Saturday) during daylight hours only. Southbound traffic will be reduced to two open lanes throughout the duration of the repair project. The speed limit will be restricted to 60 mph through the work zone. Traffic will be directed through the work zone via signage. This closure will be in effect through late April 2009.
