Short Term Projects

I-35: Bridgework will close the left lane of southbound I-35 between I-29 and Summit Street from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13.

I-435: Sign truss removal at night will reduce westbound I-435 to one lane at 103rd Street from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Thursday night, Nov. 13 to Friday, Nov. 14. During this time, all lanes will be temporarily closed for no more than 15 minutes to complete the sign removal.

I-435: Sign installation at night will reduce northbound I-435 to one lane at Eastwood Trafficway from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Thursday night, Nov. 13 to Friday, Nov. 14. During this time, all lanes will be temporarily closed for no more than 15 minutes to complete the installation.

I-70: Pavement repair will close various lanes of east and westbound I-70 between Woods Chapel Road and Adam Dairy Pkwy. from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15.

I-70: Bridgework will close the right lane of eastbound I-70 between Troost and Paseo from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday-Tuesday, Nov. 13-18.

I-70: Paving will close the left lane of westbound I-70 between Admiral to Oak from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 14.

I-70: Striping operations will close the right lane of westbound I-70 just west of Woods Chapel Road from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13.

I-470: Shoulder work will close the right lane of westbound I-470 between Blue Parkway and Douglas from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 16.

I-470: Shoulder work will close the right lane of eastbound I-470 between Blue Parkway and Douglas from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15.

I-470: Striping operations will close various lanes of east and westbound I-470 between Blue Parkway and Douglas from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13 to Friday, Nov. 14.

I-470: Shoulder reconstruction at night will close the left lane of southbound I-470 between Woods Chapel Road and Colbern Road from 6:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 18 through Thursday, Nov. 20.

Route 291: Shoulder work will close the right lane of northbound Route 291 at Gudgell Street from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday – Friday, Nov. 13-14.

I-70: Shoulder work will restrict traffic on westbound I-70 between Route BB and Adams Dairy Parkway from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 12-13.

Route 7: Utility work will close the left lane of southbound Route 7 at Wyatt Road from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11 through Tuesday, Nov. 18.

I-470: Shoulder reconstruction at night will close the right lane of southbound I-470 between Woods Chapel Road to Colbern Road from 6:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11 through Thursday, Nov. 13 and again on Monday, Nov. 17 through Thursday, Nov. 20.

Route 291: Utility work will close the right lane of southbound Route 291 (southbound right turn lane) between Langsford and Route 50 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Nov. 28.

Route W (Bannister Road): Pavement repairs at night will restrict traffic on east and westbound Bannister Road (Route W) between the State-Line to I-435 from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m. through Nov. 21.

Long Term Projects

I-29: Bridgework will close the right lane of northbound I-29 at Front Street through July 2009.

I-35: Lane reconfiguration will close the ramp from north Paseo to northbound I-35 through July 2010.

I-70: Bridge repairs will restrict westbound I-70 to two lanes at Manchester bridge through late-November. Also the ramps will be closed from Manchester Trafficway to westbound I-70, and from northbound and southbound I-435 to westbound I-70 through the end of November.

I-470/Route 50: Bridge construction has narrowed lanes through the interchange, and will close lanes in either direction during non-peak hours.

Route 71: Bridge and pavement removal has closed the ramp from southbound Route 71 to Route 150. Traffic exiting southbound Route 71 at Route 150 must use alternatives: Either the 140th Street ramp to the west outer road; or proceeding south on Route 71 to 155th Street, then east on 155th over the highway to the northbound Route 71 on ramp road and back north to Route 150. The closure will continue for at least 9 months.

Route 71: The ramp from Route 150 to northbound Route 71 has closed and will remain closed until spring 2010. Motorists are urged to use the east outer road to the ramp north of 140th Street to access northbound Route 71.

Route 71: Route 71 has switched to two-way, head-to-head traffic near Route 150. Both northbound and southbound Route 71 between just south of 140th Street and just north of 155th Street are now two lanes in each direction (a reduction from three lanes) divided by a concrete barrier, to accommodate bridge replacement at Route 150. The temporary arrangement will last through spring 2010.
