HOUSTON, Texas (Meredith) — Police in Houston are investigating a woman's death after her body was found Saturday morning.

When officers responded to a call, they found the woman stabbed to death, lying on the floor, and a man sitting on a bed with a knife in his hand.

The suspect lives with his elderly parents, according to KTRK. When the parents woke up in the morning, they discovered the woman covered in blood on their floor and called police.

The suspect was tased and taken to a hospital in stable condition.

Investigators told KTRK that a Snapchat picture alerted the suspect's friend that something was wrong. Police said the friend told them he received a Snapchat photo of the suspect covered in blood with text that read, "I've done something wrong. I'm sorry."

The friend immediately went to check on the suspect, but no one answered the front door.

Names of the victim and suspect have not been released.
