(Meredith) – Chuck E. Cheese has announced their plans to create an autism-friendly environment on select Sundays starting this month.

The arcade/restaurant will open two hours early on the first Sunday of every month, calling these Sundays "Sensory Sensitive Sundays," which are designed specifically for children with autism and other special needs.

During these hours, there will be reduced lighting, a quieter atmosphere, games, food and a trained and caring staff, according to Chuck E. Cheese.
