ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com)-- Michael Porter Jr., who's been injured since the first game of the Mizzou basketball season, will play Thursday in the SEC Tournament, Cuonzo Martin announced at a practice Wednesday.

Porter Jr., a freshman, was one of the nation's top recruits and was at one point considered to be the consensus number 1 NBA draft pick. Even having not played the entire season, he is still projected to be a top 5 pick.

Porter will not be in the starting lineup but is expected to come off the bench.

Mizzou plays the winner of Wednesday's Georgia/Vanderbilt game in St. Louis.
