(Meredith) – Starting in July, Best Buy is pulling all of its CDs from its shelves, but plans to keep vinyl records for another two years.

According to CNN and Insider, CDs have been suffering. Last year, sales were down 18.5 percent. Experts said Best Buy’s CDs only generate $40 million annually, a far cry from the former, most powerful music merchandiser, according to Billboard.

However, Best Buy said it will continue to carry vinyl records for another two years. That specific medium for music has seen a boost lately.

The Guardian reported that in 2016, sales of vinyl records were at a 25-year, all-time high. In fact, 3.2 million LPs were sold that year, which was a rise of 53 percent, boasting the highest sales since 1991.
