LAWRENCE, KS (KCTV) -

Authorities at the University of Kansas have arrested a student after a string of burglaries, thefts and criminal damage to property at the Lawrence campus.

On Monday, campus police arrested the 19-year-old student for burglary, theft, criminal damage to property, unauthorized computer access and drug charges.

The arrest was the result of an in-depth investigation of burglary, criminal damage to property and theft from multiple locations in the University of Kansas Central District construction.

Police say the crimes were reported between December of 2017 and February of 2018.

The total damage and loss is estimated to be in the tens of thousands of dollars.
