A 27-year-old Leavenworth man has pleaded "no contest" to one count of aggravated criminal sodomy.

The charge stemmed from actions taken in 2015 and 2016, when Wesley Jackson lived with his girlfriend of the time and her daughter, who was born in 2006.

The girl told her mother that, while she was at work and sometimes when her mother was showering, Jackson would force her to perform oral sex on him.

Jackson will be sentenced on March 7.

Jackson has another case pending for allegations that he failed to meet the reporting requirements as a sex offender, based on a prior conviction of indecent liberties with a child. He has not been found guilty of that yet.

Leavenworth County Attorney Todd Thompson said, “This plea was approved by the family. In any case that goes to trial the victim is required to testify by law, including children.”
