Desirea Ferris’ family has been searching for her for months and on Saturday they were asking for help with their search.

It was a night of bingo, raffles, snacks, and silent auctions as dozens of people donated to help find 18-year-old Ferris.

“It's emotional,” Patti Tam, Desirea's mother, said. “A lot of people don't even know Desirea.”

Her daughter went missing in May of last year. She said the holiday season was especially difficult for her family.

“I have good days and bad days, emotionally, physically, mentally,” she said.

The proceeds from the event will help provide resources for search teams.

One man, who goes by the name Spike, has been helping the family find information and organize teams to look for Desirea.

“So many people have donated their time and resources, but there's still expenses that come up,” he said.

He and Desirea's family said they'll keep searching as long as it takes.

“This isn't going to stop,” Spike said. “Someone out there knows where she is and who she was with.”

“It's been 271 days,” her mother said. “It should never have gotten to this point.”

Desiree’s 19th birthday is coming up in February.
