Kansas City police find missing elderly man's body

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

On Thursday, the authorities found the body of an elderly man who they were searching for after he went missing on Wednesday. 

Peter Donnici, 75, was last seen around 10 a.m. near 111th Street and North Oak Trafficway.

Police said Donnici may have been driving a red or maroon 2004 Ford Freestar with Missouri license plates.

Police also said Donnici was on medication that may affect his memory.

Around 11 a.m. on Thursday, the authorities found his body inside a vehicle.

Police said that evidence at the scene indicated that he died due to a self-inflicted injury.
