51-year-old man dies in early morning apartment fire

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

A man died in a fire that happened early on Saturday morning in KC. 

The fire department went to the 100 block of NW Harlem Drive around 5:40 a.m. 

The fire was at an apartment complex, but the fire was contained to only one unit. 

Once the fire was out, firefighters found the body of a 51-year-old man inside. 

The fire is under investigation. An official cause of death has not been determined yet. 

According to authorities, there is no evidence to suggest the man's death was suspicious or that the fire was intentionally set.
