JACKSON COUNTY, MO (KCTV) -

Two brothers from Kansas City have been charged in the fatal shooting and abandonment of the body of Michael Anthony High-Frump in northeastern KC, according to the Jackson County Prosecutor.

Twenty-six-year-old Miguel R. Love and 25-year-old Antonio R. Love each face charges of first-degree murder, kidnapping, abandonment of a corpse, and two counts of armed criminal action.

According to court records, a police investigation involving KC and Independence detectives showed the homicide happened on Aug. 16, 2017 at a residence near Blue Ridge Boulevard and Lexington Avenue in Independence.

A witness told police that the victim was assaulted at the residence, then restrained for several hours.

They then carried the victim out of the basement and put him into the trunk of a vehicle. He was wrapped in a sheet or blanket.

Police later found the body in northeastern KC in the grass along a road in the area of Cliff Drive and Chestnut.

Prosecutors have requested a bond of $250,000 cash for each defendant.
