KANSAS CITY, KS (KCTV) -

It's been five days since someone stabbed a 32-year-old mother of three on her front porch.

Megan Hernandez, 32, was killed last Thursday right in the middle of the day in the 900 block of South Mill Street.

Witnesses reported seeing Hernandez - the mother of three little boys - on the cell phone on her porch less than an hour before a family member found her dead.

Within the last couple of days, Kansas City, KS police say they've identified two persons of interest in the case and brought them in for questioning. Investigators say, ultimately, both people were released and no charges are expected against them.

Hernandez's cousin says they didn't realize anyone had been brought in for questioning and says the family is hopeful the killer will be caught soon.

If you can help call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
