OVERLAND PARK, KS (KCTV) -

There were scary moments for drivers in two different parts of Johnson County when road rage went beyond angry words or gestures.

Police in Overland Park investigated after gunshots were fired at a vehicle on westbound Interstate 435 just west of Mission Road at around 5 p.m.

The victim was not injured, but had to pull off the highway onto Roe Avenue from I-435.

The shots were fired around 5:10 p.m. on Wednesday evening.

The suspect's car was a white Pontiac Bonneville with temporary tags, according to police.

At about the same time on Wednesday, police were swarming the parking lot at a Sam’s Club located on 95th Street in Lenexa.

That’s where a man wanted in a De Soto road rage case was pulled over and arrested, a gun confiscated from his car.

It’s not clear yet whether he fired the gun or simply displayed it.
