67-year-old KCK woman dies in Westwood crash

WESTWOOD, KS (KCTV) -

A 67-year-old Kansas City, KS woman has died after a wreck Wednesday morning in Westwood.

Police said the woman was found about 6 a.m. in her car north of the KU Dialysis center, 4720 Rainbow Blvd.

Officers said the car appeared to have come from the area of the dialysis center parking lot, across the grass and hit a tree south of the Westwood City Hall, near the intersection of Rainbow Boulevard and 47th Place. 

"Initially, it appears that there may have been a medical emergency involved in the accident.  However, with the assistance of the Shawnee Police Department’s Traffic Unit the case remains under investigation," Westwood police said in a written statement.  

There was no one else in the vehicle and no one else was injured. 

The victim was identified on Thursday as 67-year-old Erma Moye from Kansas City, Kansas.
